Post the age of 21 your skin starts to lose volume – this results in the extra skin sagging forming wrinkles and the effect of “jowls” or “goose-neck” as well as lip volume reduction. All of the effects contribute to the visible signs of aging.  This form of treatment is ever evolving and there are constant discoveries being made around new ways to apply fillers to the face for a youthful effect for up to a year after the treatment. These products give a visible lift to your face – and your spirits.

We use the JUVÉDERM® Collection and the Restylane® Family of Products as Filler options – they have ranges for all ages. This treatment does involve a small injection – the area is numbed before using a clinical cream should you have a low pain threshold.

Common areas treated are the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines), the area just below the nose and above the upper lip; the corners of the mouth; and marionette lines—the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jawline – this treatment regime has positive effects on both men and women.

As with any treatment – not everyone can use this as a treatment. It is important that you tell us about all your current medication, allergies, medical history and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding during your consultation in order to select the more suitable product and treatment areas.

After treatment

In the 24 hours after your treatment to maximize the effects and allow yourself to rest – minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment.
